SYCAMORE CUSTOM HOME
DESIGNED & BUILT WITH RIDGECREST DESIGNS. In 2017, a family with three young children approached us with a vision for a 5,000 sq. ft. contemporary farmhouse designed just for them. We began designing their residence, nestled among mature oak trees on a 1.4-acre parcel of land in Pleasanton’s Happy Valley. The open-concept layout fosters a warm and welcoming environment for a close-knit family. The kitchen, bathed in light from a bespoke wooden beam pendant, flows seamlessly into an outdoor entertainment area. The pantry provides convenient clean-up space after gatherings and serves as an auxiliary kitchen when necessary. In the dining room, we designed a wine cellar with genuine steel doors, repurposed wood paneling, and a ladder to access the top-tier bottles. The craft room is an ideal spot for the kids to complete homework and explore their creative side. Across the corridor is the powder room, featuring a marble floor, rich wallcovering and a floating vanity. Upstairs, the primary bathroom is filled with natural light from the expansive glass wall, offering a view of a balcony with an outdoor shower. The laundry room welcomes its visitors with reclaimed Chicago brick laid in a classic herringbone pattern.
