ALUM ROCK CANYON KITCHEN
This little kitchen remodel is nestled in a small canyon in the Alum Rock, San Jose foothills. There was a wall dividing a small dining room and a tiny kitchen. We removed the wall to create one open space that takes advantage of the beautiful canyon views, seen from the multiple existing windows. A custom white oak breakfast nook takes place of the formal dining room for more casual, communal dining. The small U-shaped kitchen had no room for an island, but with the new layout there was plenty of space for an island that creates double the counter space and seating. Leathered basalt countertops, deep charcoal-blue cabinetry and checkered tile backsplash add a masculine, yet classic and timeless touch to this bachelor pad home.
